It’s been a fantastic few months at The Berkshire Vet, and we have plenty to share with you! From community events to educational talks and upcoming events the practice is busier than ever!

We’re Turning One! Join Us for Our Birthday Celebrations – March 9th, 10 AM – 12 Noon

It’s hard to believe, but The Berkshire Vet is celebrating our first birthday! We’re so grateful to all of you for trusting us with your pets’ care, and we’d love for you to celebrate with us. Join us for a fun morning at the practice with a walk on Greenham Common, treats, and a chance to chat with our team. We can’t wait to see you there!

December Memorial Walk and Talk

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our (rather blustery) winter Memorial Walk and Talk. It was wonderful to see so many of you braving the chilly weather to remember loved ones and raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Your generosity and support truly made a difference with over £500 raised for this great cause.

Young Farmers Talks and School Assemblies

We were privileged to speak with two local Young Farmers groups, sharing insights into veterinary careers, life as a small animal vet, as well as tours of the practice. It’s always inspiring to see the passion of the next generation of animal carers.

Amy and Vicky recently visited a local primary school, teaching children about pet care, and what it’s like to be a vet. The enthusiasm (and brilliant questions!) from the students made it a fantastic experience.

We are Finalists

The Berkshire Vet has been nominated as a FINALIST within the Best New Business category for the Newbury Best in Business Awards 2025. We look forward to the upcoming awards ceremony on 5^th April to find out if we are the lucky winners.
A massive thank you to each and every one of you for joining the practice and for all of your online reviews, and verbal recommendations to friends and family about the practice. Each one of these does not go unnoticed or unappreciated by us and lets us know that the community we’re building is important to the pet owners of Newbury and the surrounding area too!
